Don’t Fall into Sickness: Tips to Stay Healthy as the Seasons Change!

Looking around we can see that Fall is upon us; changing leaves, brisk mornings and earlier. As the cooler weather starts to set in and the seasons change there are quite a few things that we all can do for ourselves to stay healthy and flu-free this cold season. 1. Wash your hands! Hand washing is your first defense in breaking the chain of infection. Wash your hands often, thoroughly and with warm soapy water. Make sure you get the fronts, backs and in between the fingers as well. According to the Center for Disease Control hand washing needs to last at least 20 seconds. You should be washing your hands before and after any meal, after using the restroom, and it’s a good idea to wash your hands every time you get back to your apartment, especially if you have ridden the elevator or used a hand rail. 2.
